Our story

NordTech Solutions started as an idea between friends who care about the environment and want to use what we’ve learned to make a difference.
We’re hands-on people who like to solve problems, and we believe that good energy solutions should be smart, simple, and sustainable.
Even though this is a school project, it reflects what we actually know – and what we believe in.
We’re proud of what we’ve created, and we’re just getting started.

Our history

We’re two students studying together at a technical college, with a shared interest in sustainable energy and smart solutions.
After working on several school projects side by side, we realized we make a strong team – combining practical thinking with creative problem-solving.
This may be a school project, but it’s based on real knowledge, real skills, and a real desire to create something meaningful.

Joakim Opgård

Founder

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering (NTNU)
Certified Energy Advisor

 Background:
Over 5 years of hands-on experience in sustainable energy projects, energy audits, and geothermal system planning.
Has worked with both private businesses and public sector buildings.

Passion:
Joakim is passionate about creating real change through smart energy use and local collaboration.
He believes that the green shift starts with knowledge and practical solutions – not just big promises.

Fun fact:
Grew up near the Arctic Circle, where extreme weather sparked his interest in efficient energy systems from an early age.

 

Ørjan Digre

Co-founder

Education:
Technical College in Civil Engineering – specialization in energy and environment Courses in project management and sustainable building design

Background:
Experienced in energy mapping, construction technology, and implementing efficient energy systems in both new and existing buildings.
Has worked with everything from residential projects to large-scale energy planning for commercial properties.

Passion:
Ørjan is driven by a deep interest in how technology can be used to solve environmental challenges.
He’s a strong advocate for practical, locally based solutions that actually work – and last.

Fun fact:
Former carpenter turned energy nerd. Still loves a good power tool – especially when it helps save power.
